Made to last, made by hand.
A leather bag wears out in the same five places. Here is how we make each one by hand at our atelier in Marrakech, and why we guarantee four of them for two years.

Choose a number on the bag. Each point shows the usual shortcut, what we do instead, and what the guarantee covers.
Leather
The body of the bag. It decides how the bag feels, how it holds its shape and how it lasts.
- Common shortcut
- "Genuine" or bonded leather with a painted surface that can peel
- How we make it
- Full-grain leather, the strongest layer of the hide, with its natural surface left intact
Handles and straps
All the weight of the bag hangs from the few centimetres where each handle meets the body.
- Common shortcut
- Glued or lightly stitched where they meet the bag: the first place most bags fail
- How we make it
- Reinforced with extra stitching, and rivets on some bags, where they carry the weight
Stitching
Seams hold the panels together. A seam is only as strong as its stitches and the leather around them.
- Common shortcut
- Loose, uneven stitches that open along the seam when one breaks
- How we make it
- Stitched by hand: tight, even seams, reinforced where the bag carries weight
Edges
Every cut edge is exposed to rubbing, every day, for as long as you carry the bag.
- Common shortcut
- Raw edges, or thick paint that cracks and peels
- How we make it
- Sanded, sealed and polished so they stay smooth
Hardware
Rings, buckles and zips take the strain of opening, closing and carrying.
- Common shortcut
- Thin plated metal that chips and tarnishes
- How we make it
- Fitted by hand at the atelier and covered by our 2-year guarantee
Keep it like the day it arrived
Full-grain leather is a natural material: a little care keeps it supple and healthy. Wiped each week and conditioned every few months, your bag stays soft and close to how it looked the day it arrived, for years.
- 1WipeEvery week, with a dry, soft cloth
- 2ConditionEvery few months, or when it looks dry
- 3StoreStuffed with paper, in its dust bag

ReturnsAbout how our bags are made
What leather do Velvinci bags use?
Full-grain leather: the complete top layer of the hide with its natural surface left intact. It is the strongest grade of leather.
Are Velvinci bags handmade?
Yes. Every bag is made by hand and stitched by hand at our atelier in Marrakech, Morocco.
What does the guarantee cover?
The stitching, hardware, handles, straps and edges, for 2 years from delivery. Natural marks, accidents, water, heat, stains and normal wear are not covered.
Will my bag change over time?
Very little when it is cared for. Full-grain leather can deepen slightly in color with light and use, but with regular conditioning it stays supple, healthy and close to how it looked the day it arrived.
How do I look after it?
Wipe it with a dry, soft cloth each week, condition it lightly every few months with a leather conditioner, and let it dry at room temperature after rain.
See it in your hands.
Every bag is made this way, and you have 30 days to decide.
