The hands behind every bag.
Every Velvinci bag is made by hand at our atelier in Marrakech. Our artisans prefer to stay private, so here you meet their crafts and their hands at work, and the steps each bag passes through on its way to you.
Six steps at the workbench
Choose a step to see what happens and who does it. Every bag passes through each step before it leaves the atelier.
Each piece is laid out on the hide and cut, with natural marks placed where they will not weaken the bag.
Where pieces overlap, the leather is thinned along the edge so seams lie flat and fold cleanly.
Panels, handles and straps are stitched together by hand. Where the bag carries weight, the stitching is reinforced, and some bags add rivets.
Every cut edge is sanded, sealed and polished so it stays smooth and does not fray.
Buckles, rings and zips are fitted and the lining is set in.
Every bag is checked, cleaned and wrapped in its dust bag before it leaves the atelier.
